Access to data within UNIQ is strictly controlled by role:
Staff from one organisation cannot access data belonging to another organisation. We do not grant third-party vendors access to your inspection data except where required to operate the Service (see Section 5).
When you use the bill scanning feature, photos of bills are transmitted to Google's Gemini API to extract meter readings and usage data. This data is used only to pre-fill inspection fields and is not stored by Google beyond the duration of a single API call under Google's standard API terms. You can choose not to use this feature.
The Service is hosted on Replit's cloud infrastructure. Data is stored in a PostgreSQL database managed within that environment. Replit's own privacy and security policies apply to infrastructure-level data handling.
We retain your data for the following periods:
We implement technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including:
No system is completely secure. In the event of a data breach that affects your personal information, we will notify affected users and relevant authorities as required by applicable law.
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
You can delete your own account at any time directly in the UNIQ app: open Profile → Delete Account and confirm. Your account is removed immediately and you are signed out. Residual copies of your data may persist in backups for up to 90 days before permanent deletion (see Section 6). Inspection records and property data created for your organisation remain with the organisation.
To exercise any of your other rights — or if you prefer to request account deletion instead of using the in-app option — contact your Company Admin or reach out to us via the contact details below. For step-by-step deletion instructions and details of what data is deleted or retained, see our account deletion page.
UNIQ is not directed at individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can delete it.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of material changes by updating the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
If you have questions, concerns, or requests relating to this Privacy Policy or your personal data, please contact us through your organisation's designated UNIQ administrator or reach out via the contact information provided within the app.
